Remettre en route cette CM de laptop pour tester llama.cpp sur x86 !
✅ D'abord petit upgrade sur un Intel i7 3920XM @ 3,9Ghz
✅ Ensuite on ressort la DDR3 pour arriver à 32GB (deux slots au dos)
✅ Installation d'Alpine Linux bare metal sans hyperviseur
✅ Allocation de 100% des ressources système au LLM
✅ Compilation de llama.cpp avec AVX2 off (Ivy Bridge)
✅ Alpine Linux governors sur "Performance" pour hit les 3,9Ghz
✅ Ajout dissipateur GPU embarqué et fan 12v sur le socket
✅ Thermal throttling maitrisé !Résultat non concluant malgré un bon score de 19.72 token par seconde sur Qwen coder 1.5B en Q4 sur 4 cores. C'est assez réactif mais pas suffisant pour ce que je fais.
La compilation de llama.cpp avec les flags AVX2 off (AVX1) Ivy Brigde etc, change complètement la vitesse de démarrage à chaud du modèle !
PS : Pâte thermique d'origine 😅

2x Raspberry #Pico2 for #RunCPM ;)
At 300Mhz #overclock the Pico2 in ARM-CPU-Mode
is around double as fast as a Pico1 overclocked at 270Mhz
So the emulated Z80 is now at
73.05Mhz (Pico2) against 38.55Mhz (Pico1) -
Finally I got my hands - here in turkey - on
2x Raspberry #Pico2 for #RunCPM ;)

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W seems stable with an overclock ARM frequency of 1000. I tried setting it to 1200 but the emulation software kept randomly crashing.

Also memory training with 32 gigs on Zen 4 takes a while. Holy shit. I don't even want to imagine how many minutes it takes to boot with people who have 128 gigabytes of RAM. Or even 64. Because this takes like 30 to 45 seconds for me. Sometimes. Not all the time for some reason.

Купил провод DP, пришёл домой, увидел что купил DP to HDMI :\
Думаю ладно, пофиг. Читаю инструкцию а там: Max res: 1920x1080 60 Hz
Думаю всё, приплыли. Плакали мои 144 герца. Втыкаю провод, включаю комп, вижу 60 герц, плачу, запускаю панель Энвидэ, ставлю 144 герца, И О ЧУДО, Я разогнал переходник и получил 144 герца! Вот только после этого кабель начал свистеть ультразвуком (Как комар или дешёвый китайский блок питания) :blobcatfearful:
Но после перезапуска монитора писк пропал. Можно сказать что я разогнал переходник :ablobcatrainbow: -
I chose #Raspbian OS lite to get a fresh, fast, and clean #RadpberryPi. It was not only recommended, but I wanted to use #KIAUH ratger than using #MainsailOS.
This gave me more storage space, and I also knew what was already installed.
This also solved one of my problems when I used #Klipper with #Octoprint and #OctoKlipper.
I had a "mcu error," which I never could get a solution for. I had to restart my printer and Klipper repeatedly until they finally would connect.
This was solved by following the #Mainsail and #KIAUH docs and installing the Raspberry Pi MCU firmware.
These problems are now solved.
And damn, is this blazing fast.
Although I did clean my fan and heatsink and decided to #overclock my Raspberry Pi, the UI is so responsive I can live without my printer screen.

This is as far as I've been able to get it with just air cooling. She runs HOT. 🔥🥵
I can't touch the bus clock at all with this CPU or it doesn't play nice with RAM. So, relatively large steps in speed is all I have to work with. I set the non turbo limit low so when I'm not gaming or really thrashing on it I can shut turbo off in software, which is how it is most of the time, and Vcore sits around 1.2V
