Hi, NekoShinshi here. AniAnimals.moe is my passion project over 10 years in the making. I initially intended to set up a /r on Reddit #RIP to gather cute #AnimeCat, then attempted a YouTube Channel 'Cats out of Context' #RIP, then started a BlogSpot 'animecatproject' #RIP. #DMCA takedowns are suffering. Needed #MotivationIf you find any #AniAnimals feel free to tag or DM me @anianimalsmoe. I watch lots of #anime, but I miss a lot, and there are genres I don't necessarily watch often. e.g. #Fujoshi or #Fudanshi please HMU with animals from #BL.
I have collected #Over9000 clips and images of animals from #anime, mainly #cats. They will be posted as I add descriptions and notes, and work on improving the website to a proper fully searchable database with episode numbers and timestamps. #SoloProject #FeedbackWelcome #HugeTaskBacklog

I can #Japanese from years of Anime and Games and one very painful Uni break going through the #GenkiTextbooks #HighlyRecommended. I write badly, but can listen and read at the level of the #Haruhi novels.Why bother when wikis and anime database sites exist? AniAnimals.moe is meant to be modern, curated, and animal-focused site with video at its core. I want #cute and #facts, not #prose of #plot. I've found that English Wikipeda, Fandom, Anime-Planet misgender, misname and outright present mistakes as facts. I spend effort looking through the Japanese wikis and #RawManga to find the truth. And I'm ok with admitting and correcting my mistakes. Wikis have to deal with politics and power plays about ownership.
