Er is op dit moment een storing. Daardoor werken sommige diensten niet. Ook kan de klantenservice hierdoor sommige vragen mogelijk niet direct beantwoorden.

Just out of curiosity, I continued the process.

3 weeks after requesting the card, I get an email offering to carry on even though I don't have a NL bank account. However, they warn me that the card would then be sent by mail, and that mailing outside the #Netherlands is dangerous:
"we know from experience these cards often do not reach their destination. Do you have an address in the Netherlands where we can send the card to?"

#Trains in the #Netherlands : I'll be travelling by myself and then with 3 other people, by train, between Rotterdam, Utrecht, Amsterdam and Friesland in September, mostly at off-peak times.

The discount card "Dal Voordeel" would be very appropriate. But it seems that I need a physical card, the #OVchipkaart.

Trying to order it, I seem to need a NL bank account. I once obtained the message I'd need to go to a service desk if having a UE bank.

Can someone confirm I could?

In ganz NL reist man seit 20 Jahren bequem mit der #OVChipkaart. In jedem Verkehrsmittel einfach ein- und auschecken. Jetzt läuft sie aus, denn das geht mit der normalen Bankkarte. Oder mit dem Nachfolger, dem OV-pas. Der wird aber leider nicht mehr nach Deutschland verschickt. :-(

Dan denk je opeens met nostalgie aan de lieve bejaarde treintellers in hun rode Ipsos-jasjes, voordat de #ovchipkaart hun dat ontnam. Nu, ja, opeens..

De ov-chipkaart verdwijnt na 2027. Het is de bedoeling dat reizigers in het openbaar vervoer in- en uitchecken met de ov-pas of hun eigen bankpas. Waarom? De ov-chipkaart is gedateerd en minder handig dan de nieuwe pas, zeggen de ontwikkelaar en reizigersorganisatie Rover.

So our #train got 1,5 hour delay and was full that so we had to sit on the laps of that nice family, the next train to the Netherlands could not drive on Dutch electricity so it stopped at the #border? And there should be busses coming, but those didn't come, so we jumped on this nice train and now they say my #OVchipkaart isn't valid for this train? We are in the Netherlands! Now we have to get out the train, beep the card and get a next train? Not haj service at all!

Zojuist de #ovpas besteld van #ovpay wat de vervanger is van de #ovchipkaart. Het ziet er naar uit dat het #bunq logo er niet meer op staat. Ben benieuwd wat de nieuwe oplossing is en hoe/wie deze nu faciliteert

Also, my new #ovchipkaart arrived in the mail (the old one expired), with this one having the same picture on it, that I use as profile picture here, instead of an ugly picture in boymode. 😊

(The initials are still the same and since they are the only thing on the card (no full name), that part didn’t change anyways.)

Der Nahverkehr bringt mich pünktlich nach #Amsterdam Centraal, bleibt noch Zeit für ein Photo auf der #IJside. Vielleicht wäre das der perfekte Ort für Fotos der #Aurora gewesen!

Der #IC145 nach Hengelo fährt aus 10b - für manche Touristen evtl. ungewohnt: Hier stehen oft mehrere Züge auf dem gleichen Gleis in unterschiedlichen Abschnitten!

@tagesschau Und @jugger1511 hat den "Tarifdschungel" erwähnt. Die Preisschwankungen sind wirklich extrem & nicht alle Kunden können weit im Voraus buchen. In den #Niederlanden steige ich spontan mit der #ovchipkaart (Chipkarte für die Öffis) in jeden Bus & Zug, die Abbuchung erfolgt vom Konto mit transparenten Preisen, & außerhalb der Stoßzeiten sowie am Wochenende habe ich ordentlich Nachlass, auch für eine mitreisende Person. Dafür muss man aber natürlich auch an der #Digitalisierung arbeiten.

😭 this moment where I analyze yet another card and I have no keys of this other card.

Two hypothesis:
1. They have a pool of random keys
2. They have change keys randomly per card, to avoid having master keys in the wild ("No master key, no problem :blobthinksmart:"). In this case, I'll try to guess keys (e.g. a bad random number generator)

I'll try to collect a bunch of card near me (friends and colleagues), attack the cards, and try to get evidence of the first hypothesis. Meanwhile, I'll try to see if their random key generator is really random... 🤷‍♀️

Het is de laatste dag van de maand en ik ben zo iemand die dan nog gauw op het allerlaatst wat administratie moet doen. Niet zo heel handig dat de ov-chipkaart.nl website dan uitgerekend nu stuk is; je kunt reishistorie maar tot maximaal twee maanden terug opvragen.

De rest volgt later deze week, vertelde een medewerker me nadat ik 0900-0980 belde en een robot me eerst 4 keer wilde helpen met totaal het verkeerde onderwerp. Maar ja. Later deze week, da's dus te laat.
