  1. 4 days post surgery and today I have bagged up rubbish to take to the bins, done a 10 min work out on the crosstrainer, pottered about doing some random light housework, done 3 hours of paid work (WFH), made lunch, and had a shower.

Previous to surgery I would have been able to do 1 or 2 of those things only before my back pain made it impossible to do anymore.

    NOT EVEN A FUCKING TWINGE

I'm sorry to keep going on about it but I am beyond excited by this.

Lesson for others is please PLEASE insist on an abdominal scan if you have unexplained #LowerBackPain #backpain they keep dismissing. This was a melon sized #OvarianCyst lurking for atleast 5 years putting pressure on my lower spine.

The difference now it's been removed is life changing for me 😍

  2. Finally got my surgery on Monday for a #hysterectomy

In true Jax fashion, I have spent every spare moment over the last 3 months reading and researching everything about the surgery and risk factors.

The surgery is due to a 12cm #ovariancyst and #adenomyosis thankfully both ovaries and uterus tested clear for cancer.

Scheduled surgery is for a total laparoscopic hysterectomy, but after careful consideration I want them to keep my cervix intact, as I am high risk for future prolapse but low risk for cervical cancer ( I don't have sex with men for a start!).

I've tried to get a telephone conversation with surgeon 5 times over the last 2 weeks and still not had a call back.

After 5 years of medical gaslighting I am not confident or strong enough for a battle to keep my cervix on the day of admission. I'm already not sleeping and seriously stressed about this!

Last attempt to get a callback tomorrow and I will be letting them know that if I don't get a conversation with surgeon by end of day Friday, I won't be admitting myself for surgery on Monday.

It shouldn't be this hard 😭

  7. Having surgery to remove 12cm #ovariancyst and a full #hysterectomy on the 20th December!

This is good - timing is a bit off but it's all good. Then I can finally start getting my mobility and life back!

  12. I have a 12cm #ovariancyst that I suspect has been the cause of my back pain and bloating, and subsequent weight gain and loss of mobility over the last 5 years. Apt in couple weeks to discuss surgery but in the meantime I’m collecting evidence of #clinicalnegligence / #medicalgaslighting. I’ve been begging my gp for help with this chronic back pain and bloating and kept being gaslit. I had an MRI in feb 23 and told nothing wrong. I have the MRI images from last month and from February 23 to compare, but I’m not sure which mass is the cyst. Are there any #radiologist or #doctor who could take a Quick Look and identify the parts for me? 🙏

  13. Processing a week that has been equal parts exhausting, worrying and awesome.

Travelled to London Tuesday to see Ethel Cain live. She was awesome! Was not expecting such a show of lights and layers and ambience. We’re hoping to catch her again in Cardiff in June. I’ve gone from mum supporting her teens fandom yo being a total fan myself 😂

Due to being skint ( due to sprained ankle and twisted knee a couple weeks previous we had a lot of uber eats) I had to change the hotel from a fairly decent holiday inn in Hammersmith to a crappy hotel on the main Shepherd’s Bush road which meant a lot of walking and a lot of stairs and then the 120 minutes queuing at the concert venue. Aforementioned injuries still not fully healed and I’ve been carrying around a melon sized cyst for over 4 years that has caused a lot of back pain and weight gain.

When we first arrived in Hammersmith I got a call from hospital to attend an mri the next day (to examine cyst and plan surgery) so was then I worrying about getting back in time for that. Did it though!

So yeah. But fucking hell that concert was well worth it. My teens smile and cheers and absolute delight to be so near to her favourite artist was worth it!

    Video contains flashing lights.
