I recently finished playing The Outer Worlds 2 and it was pretty good. The big problem I have with both games is that the game mechanics feel a little shallow. Despite that I'm hoping there will be another game in the series.

So the Outer Worlds 2 isn't a bad game, it just feels really old. Like it has those stilted plastic-looking-character-stares-at-you-and-info-dumps kind of interactions straight from Mass Effect. The interiors are blocky with lots of crates. The gunplay is pretty basic. Really feels like a throwback.
I'm *kind of* enjoying it, but man does it look and feel like a game from yesteryear. I guess that could be exactly what someone who isn't me is looking for, though 😅

For being "lite" versions of the Skyrim / Fallout formula... Avowed took me nearly 50 hours to beat, and Outer Worlds 2 seems to be on that same path.
Now I need to crunch to finish OW2 before my Game Pass subscription runs out.
Feel sorry for me and my extremely-first-world problem!

Playing Outer Worlds 2 and realized I screwed up trying to hack a console without a required tool (the Calcaduceus) , and now I can’t bring my allied factions to a certain place and point in the game, so I have to revert to a save from maybe 2 days ago and redo all these side missions. On the bright side, I now know which skills and perks to bolster.
