Wyandra, QLD. Population 116. Halfway between Cunnamulla and Charleville, and easy to miss.
Free camp behind the post office. Good burgers. A sandy river beach. Sunsets good enough for a calendar cover.

The Darling River is the main story here, but we found so much more! In the late 1800s, this was one of the busiest inland ports in the world, carrying wool from stations across western NSW down to the Murray and on to England.
