From Friday-Sunday last week, I watched 10 episodes a day of the really excellent #cDrama #TheLead. I had the rare treat of having my wife join me from episode 11. On Monday, I was maxed out on Mandarin and so after a thoroughly enjoyable rewatch of #kDrama #OurBelovedSummer I started 2 #kDrama on my PTW - #SoldOutOnYou and #FilingForLove Both 12 episodes long.
I started #SoldOutOnYou for Chae Won Bin, but it was dire and I had to drop after 4.
I started #FilingForLove for Kim Jae Wook and to test my aversion to Shin Hae Sun. She was actually one of the least bad things about that tedious drek, but after enduring 4 episodes, it too went in the bin. Thank goodness we have #TheLead to finish this weekend! -

This is a pretty common drama theme, but lets spice it up a bit and do a combo.
Our Beloved Summer - Well done childhood/school enemies to lovers fare with a beautiful soundtrack and some nice twists. However, if you combine it with The Witch: Part 1 as a prequel you get some real ENEMIES to lovers action. :blobcatgiggle:

@dnkboston When it first started, it sounded like being a really interesting psychological story. Reading MDL reviews many commented on the whiplash ending and the "tacked on" feel of the 'supernatural solution'. I had been planning to watch for the FL actor, whom I enjoyed in #KDrama #OurBelovedSummer but instead it's ended up one more example of why I NEVER start Dramas until they've finished airing

Hi! Call me Marsh or Zubat. I moved from another fedi instance last month to try out Sharkey. I have a personal account listed in my bio.
The stuff I talk about are fandoms I'm currently getting into or fandoms I just suddenly remember (some listed at the end of this post). If I get recommended something, I might not get around to it for a long while.
I'm a huge shipper. I might usually post about rarepairs, but I like a lot of relatively common ships too. If I remember something I used to be into, you can probably bet I'll remember some ship I had from it too. I have a good amount of polyamorous ships as well. Despite all this, I'm actually arospec (vague wording because I'm not sure which identity in the spectrum I actually am).
I wanna write fanfic! At the moment, I have a bunch of ideas that I've been messing with on-and-off for Pokemon, Skip and Loafer, Dungeon Meshi, Hilda, etc.
I'm interested in indieweb stuff as well, and maybe I'll try making a personal/fan site for myself (emphasis on "maybe").
My opinions on shipping discourse are a bit more complicated than pro or anti, but I'm leaning closer to anti. I think profic opinions sound too much like "free speech" activists. Think about the paradox of tolerance: you can drive people away from a space by being too permissive about what can be posted there. If you disagree with that, you probably should not follow me because I get carried away ranting about it sometimes.
I think I'd prefer my followers to be at least 20 years old just to give myself some leeway to be a bit crude on this account. I'm not super sure about having this limit higher than 18 because a lot of things I like have a lot of younger fans, but I'm going with it anyway.

I finished “Our Beloved Summer” some days ago and liked it a lot. The first episodes were a bit boring for me. But I found that episode after episode, I became more familiar with the main characters and started to appreciate them! The real turning point is when the crew takes the two protagonists to an isolated house to continue filming. That was interesting and funny!
So, if you find the beginning boring, don’t give up! Keep watching. By the way, Kim Da-mi is so cute.

I have not but I just watched Ep1 of #OurBelovedSummer which comes highly recommended as a palate cleanser. I don't think it will disappoint.

Oooh - The thing I love about Kdramas is they use every sense and every reference they can think of to get their point across. I often don’t catch the imagery or music or historical reference until a second (or more) watch. I only recently really have tried paying attention to episode names (if they have them) as a clue.
I will have to keep this in mind when I rewatch this one - it is a rewatch for me.
I’m not very musically inclined so I didn’t notice how important the music was in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon until maybe the 3rd or 4th time I watched.

I liked this one a lot. It was my first drama with Choi Wooshik. I agree with your not too heavy, not too bingey assessment. It’s a good reprieve from the intensity of some other dramas.

Why? Firstly cause it's got a whole lot of good stuff, touches upon lot of social issues. Secondly cause it's not overly lovey dovey so you won't be sad on the New year
