Dumb phones? Someone's already caught the obvious one but how about Ouran and the reference to a "friends and family plan" that the Hitachiin brothers used to convince Haruhi to have a cell phone? Remember when those were a big deal? And a top five?!? @apc #AniMangaFoundIt #Anime #OuranHighSchoolHostClub #OuranHostClub

I'm 30 seconds into #ouranhighschoolhostclub and I'm like 90% sure that it can be described as a #utena #fanfic. So many roses. So many framings. Even an arrow pointing at things.

Ten Years Later: Ouran High School Host Club #Anime Series - http://dlvr.it/Svf308 #Funimation #OuranHighSchoolHostClub #TenYearsLater #news

My favourite and best remembered moment in #OuranHighSchoolHostClub is in episode one when Haruhi brings them a jar of instant coffee and one of the rich girls says that her father will scold her if she drinks it.

It's a perfect encapsulation of just how hilariously out of touch rich people are with basic reality. I wouldn't be surprised if there are posh twats out there who are really like this.

So I caved and rewatched the first episode of #OuranHighSchoolHostClub at lunchtime, and y'know what? Still good. Even though I know the first episode inside-out already, everything still landed for me perfectly.

It feels like one of those old anime that I can slip back into like a comfy sweater. I look forward to seeing how much of the rest of it holds up.

Really feeling like I should rewatch #OuranHighSchoolHostClub now that

A) I know it's on Crunchyroll now, and
B) I have an actual understanding and appreciation of diverse gender identity and Haruhi is a fucking agender icon

On the OTHER hand....the single mix of "Shissou" from "Daze & Hope" is a lot more rough, and doesn't show off the percussion that well; but the "rawness"(?) of this mix shows off the guitar and bass REALLY well; you can hear the bassist move his hand around on the fingerboard too, which is pretty cool 🙏

#Music #Ouran #OuranHostClub #OuranHighSchoolHostClub

whoever mic'd the drums and whoever did the album mix of "Shissou" by LAST ALLIANCE did a nice job to show off the drums, it shows REALLY well in the breakdown, the thump of the bass drum gives me life, the tambourines sparkle and shine, I love it 👀

#Music #Ouran #OuranHostClub #OuranHighSchoolHostClub

So basically you have this poor boy in a highschool for rich stumble upon a host club, where beautiful rich boys use their talents to flatter girls in the most extravagant ways. And the boy shatter a vase and becomes their prisoner and has to slave them… but no, the boy is so handsome under his neglected looks, they’re super charmed, he’s no longer a slave, but blackmailed to be part of the club. Oh no, the boy is actually a girl who says.. that she doesn’t really care for the gender stuff a nd happily dresses up to be a boy and seduce ladies. You have also the boy twins who do act like being lovers, a tiny boy with Peter Pan syndrom and so on. #ouranhighschoolhostclub

So I have started to watch Ouran Host Club and let me say that it is just the best show after My Little Pony and perhaps Loveless. Major gender stuff + trans vibes spotted.

You know, the animation style of #SasakiAndMiyano kinda reminds me of #OuranHighSchoolHostClub with exaggerated eyes and long limbs.

Of course, Studio CLAMP has a style all its own, but still, I think this anime pays homage to CLAMP in a subtle way.

[nowy tekst]
🌸Co się kryje w akademii Ouran? Część 3/4 – Queer po japońsku🌸

W poprzednich odcinkach…
