One of my former students, Jeff Blackadar, devised a finding aid for the Shawville Equity http://www.jeffblackadar.ca/graham_fellowship/corpus_entities_equity/index.php ... issues go back to the 1880s. If you're interested in local history in the #ottawavalley #ottawa area not a bad resource at all! note the ocr was done by the provincial archives, and they appear to have simply dumped the newspapers in the hopper and then walked away. So mileage will vary.
