New Read - Otaku Elf, Volume 10
My last read of 2025 was, actually, Otaku Elf, Volume 10.
I could say the same thing every time I read a volume - it's chill, it's cute, it's fun.
This volume is no different. Learn a bit of history, enjoy a bit of humor, a lot of just chill slice of life stories of a Miko and her god...who is an nerdy elf.

New Read - Otaku Elf, Volume 9
I think I say the same thing about every volume of Otaku Elf. They fly by. Not a lot happens. It's slice of life about a geeky elf who is the local deity for a small temple and her miko (Shrine Maiden). ach volume has some random history stuff about the Edo period of Japanese history lesson mixed in with modern slice of life.
It's chill.
Anyway, wanted to share this one moment in the volume cause it's so funny and...kind of relatable.

New Read - Otaku Elf, Volume 8
Every volume of Otaku Elf flies by. Not a lot happens. it's a slice of life series about a geeky elf who is the local deity for a small temple and her miko (Shrine Maiden). It's day to day life of the elf not wanting to go out much, playing games, talking about her past as she has lived a long, long life, and day to day stuff of our miko as she is in school.
It's a mix of Japanese history lesson with about their culture in the past with slice of life.
It's very chill. And I appreciate that.
Anyway, enjoyed it. Will probably enjoy Volume 9 whenever it drops.

So, I decided to take a stab at recreating another manga cover in Animal Crossing
This time, I went with Otaku Elf, Volume 6. I figured I could try to get the angle and the room setup with Gloria and Shino serving as Koito and Elda, respectively.
Making the screenshot LOOK like a manga cover was...harder. But, I like it!
If only I had any Photoshop skills at all...

Otaku Elf is a pretty cozy anime. But, I wish it went more into the negative impact being immortal has had on Elda. It's the whole reason she became a hikikomori, after all.
