"I chose anarchism to rescue it from oblivion, because Peronism had hidden the history of the labor movement before 1945.
For many years people believed that unionism and the labour struggle were born with Peron, which is not so.
Trotsky once said that if anarchists did not exist they would have to be invented, because they have done humanity a lot of good with their incorruptible opposition.
They showed they had a line they never dropped. Which in this or any other historical time entails a lot of sacrifice. The anarchist knows that he will never hold a political office, nor a union office.
It was and is an ideology at the service of society, and not to hold offices. It is in gestures like that where your desires for a life dignified for humanity become visible. That attracts me a lot from them; that's why I've accompanied them as a man and as a historian.
Which does not exempt you from my criticism. I think the movement has to overcome certain totalitarianism of thought, if it doesn't want to fall into sectarianism. We have to fight against that: for the sake of #anarchism and for his health, the anarchist has to be anything but sectarian."
