After 20 years in cybersecurity, I’m genuinely frustrated.
Today, a CIO(!!) of a 400 employee company told me that creating SBOMs is basically the same as “creating a directory of all vulnerabilities in a company,” and comparing it even to “a phone book of elderly people who could be called and scammed.”I was shocked and speechless, on so many levels.
What frustrates me most (not the missing concept of SBOMs) is that in 2025 there are still IT professionals - even IT leaders - out there who believe that OSV, NVD, vuln dbs/threat intelligence, responsible disclosure and (with it) the entire concept of SBOMs are “evil,” enable crime, and should be outlawed.
He was not trolling. He was not joking. Im not joking.
Just a quick reminder: that guy is in charge!

Ich hab das so satt, diese Verharmlosungen, und dass sich Frauen alles gefallen lassen sollen, dass der ÖSV und Sportjournalisten uns einreden, im Spitzensport werdet ihr halt angeschrien und das geht auch nicht anders, wer daran Kritik übt, ist die Böse.
Man kann allen Österreicher*innen nur raten, ihre Töchter nicht so einer Institution anzuvertrauen.
Wofür? Damit sie sich schon in jungen Jahren das Kreuzband reißen und währendessen angeschrien werden, denn "im Spitzensport ist das halt so", während der Sportdirektor rausposaunt, dass Respekt, Empathie und Fingerspitzengefühl zu den Werten des ÖSV zählen? -
"Der ÖSV steht klar zu Werten wie Respekt, Empathie und Fingerspitzengefühl" sagt Mario Stecher.
Und deshalb darf Roland Assinger Trainer bleiben und weiterhin Skifahrerinnen anschreien.Stecher gibt zwar zu, dass die Kritik zum Teil gerechtfertigt gewesen sei, der große Fehler sei aber gewesen, dass Venier, Tippler und die anderen anonymen Kritikerinnen mit ihrer Kritik an die Öffentlichkeit gegangen seien.
Damit macht der ÖSV deutlich, dass er das Hauptproblem bei der schlechten PR sieht und nicht etwa im Umgang mit den Skifahrerinnen.
Währendessen verbreiten Sportjournalisten, u.a. in den Salzburger Nachrichten, weiterhin die Ideologie, dass "sich Anschreien lassen" halt zum Spitzensport dazugehöre.

Gut, dass Stephanie Brunner, Tamara Tippler und Stephanie Venier mit ihrer Kritik an die Öffentlichkeit gegangen sind.
Sonst ändert sich ja doch nie was...

Wie großartig und wertschätzend wäre es, wenn Österreich einen Sportminister in Form des Vizekanzlers hätte, dem Frauen im Sport ein Anliegen sind! Noch ist das aber Illusion. Deshalb müssen die heimischen Wasserballerinnen kreativ sein, um ihre Teilnahme an internationalen Bewerben zu finanzieren.

OFC #OS5 may be unrelated to #OS2 entirely.
It shurely is unrelated to #OSv which is designed to only run in VMs!
