Interesting talks, astonishing live demos. On the third day of @lgm I learned about some very cool #foss projects like #OssiaScore, @counterpunch or @liblast. Recordings of the talks are available!

🎨✨ Presenting "Ossia score," the *culmination* of interactive sequencers—perfect for audio-visual artists who want to spend more time navigating menus than creating art. 🙄🔍 Because who doesn't love the thrill of *configuring* their creative process? 🎶🛠️

So I was doing a #party at a company event this year. I wanted to run realtime music-reactive visuals from a projector. I thought my laptop won't manage stable framerate while running a load of other stuff, so I decided to use my #Rpi4. First tried #OssiaScore but had very poor performance (drawing a single shape at 720p gave me like 20 FPS at best).
I tried #Godot 3 (4 would crash) - FPS were ok, tho I had to drop the Pi as I failed to set up a direct ETH link to my laptop to transmit audio... -

Smashed Transistors is a beast. I learned so much from his Axoloti patches.
This is supposed to load JSFX into vst3 hosts. I never tried it though. Ossia score uses the same library to allow using JSFX in its timeline.#JesusSonic #JSFX #REAPER #CockosReaper #Audio #Sound #FX #ossiascore #SmashedTransistors #VST3 #VST #PlugIns #YSFX

Yes! #ossiascore 3.10 is a #macOS keeper. The vst3 window crashes and #video performance seem to be resolved 😍

Ossia Score is an open-source sequencer for interactive / intermediate arts. The project has been goin sice 2014 and is being actively developed all the time.
It seems like an intriguing piece of software, though I have no idea how to use it and what it can be used for (at least no better than what the tagline says).

Have anyone used #OssiaScore?
