『宇宙探査艦オーヴィル』シーズン1観終わる。最初1・2話はコメディー要素が多く。「こんな感じで進むのかな？」と思ったら。話しが進むにつれ、シリアスな展開多めになり…。
個人的にはコメディー要素強めの方が好きなので、そのままの調子で進んで欲しかったけど。😅
…とは言え、各話はそれなり面白く。
SF 要素の粗さもあるにはあるけど（例えば皆が皆英語話してるとか、地球と同じ大気の惑星多すぎとか、宇宙に投げ出されても特に影響なさそうなこととか）。SF 好きな人ならそれなり楽しめる作品かと。😊

Re-watching #Orville - I only watched S1. This time I'll watch more.
What gets me is several episodes seem new, I obviously did not absorb them well first time.
I do like the homage to the original star trek with the uniforms having the "specialty" on the badge. When I watched original star trek I did not even notice that to start with.

A friend of mine last week said that The #Orville "took a bit to find its tone, and then had its Best of Both Worlds moment". I didn't object at the time, but was just reminded to rewatch Orville sometime.
Well, a week later, and I'm pretty confused by the comment. Orville starts with two pretty good episodes, crushes it with "About a Girl" (S1E3), and then it's off like a rocket ship.
It takes a bit for the humor and serious tones to find the right balance, but nothing really objectionable. 🤔

Why have all #comedies become so serious? #Beef, supposedly a comedy, was mostly soap style drama with less than a handful of moments that made me even smile. #Orville has gone full #TNG with Season 3 and almost no real comedy. We recently completed #FatherTed and honestly there doesn’t seem to be any comedy like that around these days.

One of the most original TV series I've seen in a long time is The Orville . It is currently on Disney+. It ran for 3 seasons. Just like another wildly popular sci-fi series from the 60's. It is the the best of sci-fi, showing political,social and personal themes in each episode. It's a real gem. #Orville

Хвалил за то, что вместо того чтобы пихать зрителю в лицо ненужные элементы они нативно вписывают гуманистические посылы в сюжет давая зрителю как бы со стороны смотря на совсем другие миры провести некоторые параллели со своим реальным миром.А тут они ещё и по ребятам устраивающим массовые травли или отмены проехались.
Я буквально день назад обсуждал свои мысли по этому поводу и думал написать об этом постик. А сегодня я вижу это в эпизоде Orville.
Макфарлейн хорош, конечно.
