@Lazarou the thing that did it for me (not having a robot as a friend) was the Isaac story arc in The Orville show. Once I saw that I was pretty well, yep, Im out. No robots for me.

Re-watching #Orville - I only watched S1. This time I'll watch more.
What gets me is several episodes seem new, I obviously did not absorb them well first time.
I do like the homage to the original star trek with the uniforms having the "specialty" on the badge. When I watched original star trek I did not even notice that to start with.

Keith Harris and Orville with "Orville's song". The one that goes "I wish I could fly right up to the sky".
Keith is joined by a small group of young children who sway from side to side, looking almost as bored as the rest of us.

It's an excellent #StarTrek alternative. -
A friend of mine last week said that The #Orville "took a bit to find its tone, and then had its Best of Both Worlds moment". I didn't object at the time, but was just reminded to rewatch Orville sometime.
Well, a week later, and I'm pretty confused by the comment. Orville starts with two pretty good episodes, crushes it with "About a Girl" (S1E3), and then it's off like a rocket ship.
It takes a bit for the humor and serious tones to find the right balance, but nothing really objectionable. 🤔

Finally the last episode of #Orville s3 brought in some of the absurdity and humour that was almost conpletely missing from the season. Plus a clear homage to #Sandstorm by Finland’s own #Darude!

Why have all #comedies become so serious? #Beef, supposedly a comedy, was mostly soap style drama with less than a handful of moments that made me even smile. #Orville has gone full #TNG with Season 3 and almost no real comedy. We recently completed #FatherTed and honestly there doesn’t seem to be any comedy like that around these days.
When did we all become so uptight?

One of the most original TV series I've seen in a long time is The Orville . It is currently on Disney+. It ran for 3 seasons. Just like another wildly popular sci-fi series from the 60's. It is the the best of sci-fi, showing political,social and personal themes in each episode. It's a real gem. #Orville
