Контракт из кода, клиент из контракта: избавляемся от тройного дублирования в API

Обычно процесс разработки API выглядит так: мы пишем контроллер. Затем каким-то образом его документируем. После чего фронтер, опираясь на такую документацию, пишет клиент. Мы делаем одну и ту же работу трижды. В прошлой статье я рассказывал, как избавиться от первого дублирования. С помощью бандла sunrise-studio/symfony-openapi можно генерировать OpenAPI-документ из кода, минуя процесс документирования. Но это решает проблему только наполовину. Если OpenAPI-документ вытекает из кода, то клиент должен вытекать из OpenAPI-документа. Иначе написание клиента – и есть то самое дублирование. В этой статье я расскажу как замкнуть цепочку: Controller → OpenAPI → Client → Feature Где каждый последующий шаг вытекает из предыдущего, а не дублирует его.

Today I learned about #Orval a #TypeScript code generator that goes beyond types.

I've long been a fan of QuickType.io, but Orval takes it a step further allowing you to generate classes, mocks, and clients from an #OpenAPI specification.

It even generated #Tanstack #Angular #Svelte #Vue etc

Something for the #beer nerds this morning.

In March 2024 (on #Orval Day), we got 8 people together to taste my 14-year vertical collection of Orval, and I made everyone take notes. (I have 16 years collected, today.)

So many posts of #orval I had to give it a try. Belgian Trappist Ale is very floral fruity with a bread yeasty base. High carbonation - could you tell from the photo? Not my usual choice but an interesting side try!

It's become a bit of a tradition for me to mark Saturday lunchtime by having a slightly "special" #beer. (I'm retired - Saturdays are just another day, but who cares?) I used to have a Boon #gueuze #lambic until #Waitrose stopped selling it. Then I switched to #Duvel 6.66 and now Waitrose have stopped selling that as well. Now I'm eating into my stocks of #Orval and other beer brought back from continental holidays.

My special treat this evening is a 10 year old bottle of #Orval #Trappist beer. I try to buy a dozen bottles or so every time we visit Belgium and mature them for at least 5 years. The improvement this makes is worth the "effort".
