Two years ago I sowed some seeds from Ivy Broomrape (Orobanche hederae) on a public space with a lot of Common Ivy. Usually they only take one year from sowing to blooming, but I didn't see any last year so I thought none of the seeds had found a host. Then today as I was passing by I noticed not one, but five withered and dry inflorescences, so it seems my guerilla gardening was successful after all. 🙌

Some #entomology and associated focus for me has included #solitarybees , #wasps and #opiliones. Big fan of plants, especially #Lamiaceae and #Orobanchaceae.
Also do a bit of #macrophotography & encourage biological recording.
