All the men were linked. They had been given the task of clearing out piles of bat faeces in an abandoned copper mine in the hills south of the town of Tongguan in the Mojiang region. Some had worked for two weeks before falling ill, and others just a few days.

Who sent the men to clean the mine? Why was an abandoned mine being cleaned?

  2. "That said, while coronaviruses do infect some bats, the SARS-CoV2 virus has never been found in any bats."
    # # #
An expert on bats recently sent me this. Of course it's at the same time true and not true. With the size of rural China and that neither official China and some in the US have not encouraged a search, lack of data is not hard to understand. Plus, with quasispecies (RNA Swarm), SARS CoV 2 most likely NEVER will be found. #OriginOfCovid #SarsCoV2 #Zoonosis #Virology

  4. I see now scientists trying to frame that animal to human transmission of coronaviruses has never been witnessed. It happened at least once with a delta variant in Hong-Kong and imported hamsters. As well, it happened several times from deers to humans.
I'm just citing a little of the scientific evidence.
Again, some #OriginOfCovid groups are trying to make the earth flat. The obvious purpose of this mascarade is to make #ClimateChange and #Biodiversity loss an unrelated issue.
Not to mention these scientists have never been able to determine the origin of any #SARSCoV2 variant once, with all the monitoring done.

  5. #Omicron came from a variant that was circulating six months before it appeared.
#Pirola comes from a variant that was circulating one year ago.
    1. That means we would only know the #COVID #pandemic is over, after one year without worldwide circulation of #SARSCoV2
    2. Unless we find in wastewater a cryptic variant that looks like a "parent" of Pirola, the immunodepressed host being the origin of the evolution of new variants with so many new mutations is becoming again an hypothesis among others.
    3. If the wildlife hypothesis of an animal being the host of #coronavirus new variants evolution holds true, we can start to house move to Mars.

SARS like bat coronaviruses so they have antibodies to them because they've been exposed and infected and if one of those
    19:08
individuals got infected the incubation periods 14 days they could have visited woo hyung and that could have caused the
    19:14
outbreak so there's a couple different hypotheses floating around which what that mediated the start of the outbreak

an equally plausible mechanism for the outbreak is that Chinese living in rural

  8. The #OriginOfCovid matters.

After a tragedy, should authorities throw up the sponge: ‘It already happened, no sense in fussing now’?

No, because the investigative process reveals liabilities; answers help direct preventative efforts; and accountability deters future risk-taking.

  9. A World Health Organization team heads to Wuhan. Will they find the truth?

"As the first year of the Covid outbreak draws to a close, a team of international scientists chosen by the World Health Organization is preparing to visit the city where it all started to investigate the virus’s origin. But with the Chinese government closely involved in the mission, how free will they be to find the truth? And is a researcher ..."

  10. So, even in the fediverse, some #WHO officials claim that the #pandemic is over.
And yet they continue to promote "tools" that have become obsolete because they have never updated guidelines.
How can the WHO understand how a pandemic started if they can't even assess when it ends?

  12. @skua Do you think reports of vaping damage to the lungs in the US actually were the #OriginOfCovid ?

    "Sales of electronic
cigarettes in the United States increased from 2014 to 2020, increasing by 122.2% during this period (i.e., from 7.7 million to 17.1 million every 4 weeks) (CDC, 2021a). Such a huge consumption of e-cigarettes suddenly broke out in ‘e-cigarette pneumonia’ in June 2019, and magically
disappeared in February 2020, which is confusing."

  14. @adamr My orthodoxy -- along with everyone else I have no facts -- is that CoViD 19 -- analogous to AIDS -- was an old disease of some rural area. The ASF devastation of the pork industry sent many from the countryside to find work in the cities or as truck drivers. The Huanan market served as super spreader event for an existing human infection. That all the animals disappeared both from the markets and the farms make investigation virtually impossible.

  15. @adamr Has the work of Florence Débarre been published -- even as a preprint? I don't see a cite. The New York Times article says that it was reported in The Atlantic.

The Gao group reported no results for animals. No matter what sequences are established for the Huanan Market, how is a super spreader event refuted?

If the Débarre and colleagues paper is available, please do provide a Link to it. Everything else is sound track applause.

  18. @CindyWeinstein @WesElyMD #antivax and #OriginofCovid people are irrationally energetic about their speculations. For #antivax, my idea has been that this is an erupting complex developed from denial of sexual identity and/or repressed incestuous desires focused on children. Why do many against lab origin show similar agitation? (China CDC paper at the beginning of the pandemic couldn't tell.) Is it because a shift in perspective results in a shift in perception? marketingmasterinsights.com/in

  20. @BenFPiercePhD @happykhan The viruses in bats in Yunnan and Laos are extremely interesting — but what they have to do with the pandemic is unclear. My speculation— wild guess— is that the #OriginOfCovid was with people exposed to #SarsCoV2 in some remote area. Someone infected traveled to Wuhan. The Huanan market may have been a superspreader event. The US origin papers say that animals at the market transmitted the virus. The China CDC paper does not say that.

  21. @happykhan @BenFPiercePhD All the animals in the market and the area farms disappeared apparently without testing. Very curious, to say the least. China CDC speculated about contaminated sewage. Coronaviruses have yet to be found in the bats in the vicinity of the local farms. With a paucity of facts, #OriginOfCovid becomes a religious argument with one view as valid— and as flawed- as the next. trueinfections.com/080922.html
