How is #leadership judged for organizational sacrifice?
In preregistered experiments (N > 2k), sacrificing an employee's #wellbeing for the sake of the team/organization was deemed much less moral and warm, but not much less competent.

🧠 Empowering leadership doesn’t just feel good — it shields against burnout. But only if context supports it.
A new 2025 study published in BMC Psychology dives deep into the relationship between leadership style and occupational burnout, and the findings are clear:
✅ Leaders who delegate authority, promote autonomy, and involve employees in decisions boost psychological empowerment
🧱 Empowerment = stronger resilience, lower emotional exhaustion
⚠️ BUT — the effect weakens under high job demands or poor organizational support
🔄 It’s not “empower and walk away” — it’s “empower and support”The study’s moderated mediation model reveals how complex the leadership-burnout connection really is — and why generic leadership training misses the mark.
This is the roadmap for building burnout-resistant teams: smarter leadership, real autonomy, and tailored support aligned to the environment.

Is acceptance of new #technology impacted by moral framing or politics?
Acceptance varied between progressives and conservatives, seemingly due to moral "binding" (vs "individualizing") foundations (Study 1). That was somewhat supported by newspaper articles (Study 2) and a follow-up vignette experiment (Study 3).

Overwork Pays Off More for Men:
New research finds an “overwork premium” - Evaluators allocate greater organizational rewards to people who work 50+ hrs per week ("overworkers"), *even when they do the same amount and quality of work as standard workers.*
In addition, male overworkers reap a significantly larger overwork premium than female overworkers.
