A 12-month roadmap is presented. Everyone nods. Later someone says quietly: “We both know the plan won’t hold, but our processes require it.”
This happens more often than we admit. The roadmap isn’t primarily a learning tool but often a budgeting tool.
Funding requires commitments, and commitments require structured plans. Once capital is allocated, deviation becomes friction.
