  1. The label from the very first rosé wine I made, with friend David Jordan, at Oregon State University.

The grapes came from various vines in OSU's grape variety mother block, hence the "mélange" in the name. The "Sä-môn" was a reference to its orange colour...

  3. The label from the very first wine I made, with friend David Jordan, at Oregon State University. Dave was studying for his PhD and I for my MS at the time. My very talented friend Catherine Hibbitt drew the label, which I went on to use for future vintages.

Great memories, and the wine was well regarded by all accounts...

  5. If you missed my conversation yesterday with Morgen McLaughlin of #WillametteValleyWineryAssociation, it was great. We discussed how her roots on her family’s Connecticut winery (one of the state’s first) convinced her of the importance of communal marketing, the different challenges of representing regions with diversity vs those with focus, and the exciting announcement from
#Revino about #OregonWine's new reusable bottle. It's on the #TablasCreek IG feed and also at vimeo.com/866867369

  7. I posted on even older vintages of late (1998, 1999), but just a few years of extra youth really mattered here. The fruit here was fresher. It was in a pretty good place. I love the tightly wound feel to this, the blackberries and plums.

  8. We aspire to cooperate with natural systems. There is a system that creates healthy soil that nourishes healthy vines that produce healthier grapes. craigcamp.com/journal/2023/5/4 #wine #OregonWine #ApplegateValley #podcast
