Abert Rim is a spectacular geological feature in Oregon, where a huge block of basalt rock rises more than 2,000 feet above the valley floor. It is the result of ancient volcanic eruptions and faulting that tilted the land. Abert Rim is home to bighorn sheep, raptors, and other wildlife.
