Last weekend, I went to Silver Falls State Park. They had a raptor presentation, and these are four owls I got to see up close and learn about. They are fascinating birds. (All of these owls are rescues and are unable to be re-released into the wild for various reasons.)

I spotted a couple of Sooty Grouses while on the Watchman Lookout Trail at Crater Lake on September 10. They were fun to watch as they pecked their way through the rocks and into the more forested area.

I’ve been working on something a bit different!
