She deepened Germany’s economic dependency on China and its energy dependency on Russia while abandoning nuclear power; she underinvested in German security and defense; she delayed long-overdue domestic reforms and investments in areas such as education and infrastructure; and her migration policy sowed the seeds for the success of the right-wing extremist party Alternative for Germany.

I am looking for experts / spokepersons on different fields who are inhabitants or citizens of the #EU and love it. Here the field is #economy (?) and includes the topic of @sjwrenlewis and the German debt obsession, #ordoliberalism (?) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_monetary_theory and whatever. I want to choose a person or persons and then follow them in direction of interest, selection of facts and opinions.

Do "buy" and "produce" exclude each other? Is there some rational reasoning why we can't do both?

Ordoliberalism seems to me to be underrepresented in the economic literature. Perhaps because as theorists the members of this school have not left much behind. But this school of thought had a great political influence in Europe in the 1950s. It is difficult to find an article telling the history of ordoliberal ideas and analyzing their influence.
