#Molly app has a socks5 option but only #Orbot "VPN" mode will work. What if #Arti from @torproject could bind with Molly on socks5 via #Termux?
would be nice to have #systemd like @postmarketOS
*Termux @termux
pkg update (possible to plug in keyboard and display to #android #mobile app)
then proot-distro login --isolated debian
su - user because Arti will complain eventhough phone is not really rooted, change etc/resolv.conf to cloudflare, add dependencies needed for #rust rustup and cargo on #debian #trixie, chmod g-w ~/.config* #Oniux --> E0560
* Arti --> works great. Have not noticed any "anti-effects." Also works on #Alpine / #PostmarketOS in Termux tests.
* apkeep #EFF https://www.eff.org/pages/apkeep --> shared storage path, package manager chokepoint won't install
* network monitoring like Nyx with #tokio-console
In a way, like passwordless root in QubesOS. Some good customizations can be made in Dom0, though, unlike GrapheneOS.

"It's easer, faster, cheaper, more resilient, private and secure to onboard #TechIlliterates woth #XMPP+#OMEMO over @torproject / #Tor using @guardianproject #Orbot @monocles / #monoclesChat..."
If it's easier, why isn't it as successful and used by the military etc? You seem to have dismissed video calls etc too. You could argue against that functionality for certain use cases, but it's become a core part of secure messaging over time. Maybe they just have different audiences.
I kind of agree on Moxie's reliance on Intel SGX though. Even at its inception it worried me. But it's not part of the core E2EE protocol so could potentially be replaced.

Btw, is anyone running #Snowflake?
Access to the #tor network is even more crucial and gives access to Signal and most of the free web.
Just install the #Firefox #Webextension and make sure WebRTC is enabled (if your browser supports videocalls, it will be enabled).
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/torproject-snowflake
You can also use #Orbot and instead of enabling a Tor Entry- or Middle-Node, setup a Snowflake Proxy ("Friendly mode"). Proxies are really only used by censored people, so dont fear abuse.

Me gustaría tener dos perfiles en el móvil.
1️⃣Uno para la VPN
2️⃣Otro para torificar el dispositivo (vía Orbot).¿Cuál usarían para chatear con la gente? VPN o Tor?

PSA: At this time it is vital that we #UseTorForEverything, including #hosting #onionSites and #eepsites…
Tor, #I2P or nothing!
The more who use #TorBrowser and I2P the better, helping people in oppressed countries disguise their traffic. If everyone is using Tor, and I2P it means people will be able to transact information with the confidence that #NetworkAnalysis is less likely to reveal who said what.
If you are a corner store, invite people to use your #WiFi if they have #Orbot or I2P.

@hypolite @Amber
(2/2) When you setup a different account like this they are called #Aspects, because they are for different aspects of your life.To improve your anonymity and limit location tracking, especially for private Aspects, you can use #Orbot, a special decentralised VPN that bounces your traffic around. Orbit is also (kinda) available from FDroid. Fedilab is designed to work with Orbot, see Settings.
You might also want to avoid BigData instances like #CAGFAM for any private Aspect.

@lemmy
Nice discussion there.For those who like the #socialGraph aspect, look into #aspects. Apps like #Fedilab make it easy to move between difference #identities for difference "aspects" of your life.
So one can enjoy an #activist aspect while maintaining a #professional aspect akin to #linkedIn and then another for #dating.
This type of separation is incredibly important in the modern digital world of #BigData. If one goes down this path they ought use #Orbot/#Tor to hide web traffic.
