I did look at the Radxa O6 pre-sale before with the same CIX P1 (CD8180) SoC but software support was dubious at the time.
My #OrangePi 5 (armv8 RK3588) was £130 when I got it but about 3X that but I'm tempted by this 6.
Would ve fun to compare with the similarly priced SpacemiT-K3 #RISCV which claims 60TOPS

Так уж повелось, что в Positive Labs исследованиями одноплатных платформ чаще всего занимаюсь я. Задачи при этом бывают разными: где-то нужно включить Secure Boot или Encrypted Boot, где-то — наоборот, проверить устойчивость этих механизмов к атакам. Поводом для этой статьи стала обнаруженная уязвимость в чипе Ky X1 – сердце одноплатника Orange Pi RV2, вышедшего в 2025 году. Уязвимость по праву можно назвать учебной – она простая, а процесс её поиска и эксплуатации – прямолинейный, без сложных трюков и неожиданных поворотов. На её примере разберём, как в подобных устройствах реализуются механизмы доверенной загрузки, где именно возникают слабые места и каким образом подобные ошибки могут быть обнаружены и проэксплуатированы.

Hi guys.
Have these chips on Orange Pi 5, but can’t find them neither in the schematic (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wsp-Q7IyG0Ky_W-z1n5oXcFG4oqIbtOb/view) nor by the chip markings.
Those are tiny bga chips marked as D25DH 6QR73 or D3FEH 68S53.
They are located under the CPU, so must be related.
I also noticed that these same chips on the same model of Orange Pi have different markings but in a similar fashion.

Сегодня другу пришёл его #OrangePi zero 3 и что самое приятное, сразу с таким как у меня корпусом и платой расширения. Установили #ARMbian , спасибо комьюнити, что такая возможность есть. Не устаю восхищаться силой #opensource и сообществ. Не уверен, что друг до конца разделяет мой восторг, что я втянул его в эту историю и теперь в круге моего общения с #homelab я буду возится не в одиночестве.

### Технические новости и релизы
* **Оптимизация маршрутизации (v0.5.12+):** В последних патчах (февраль–апрель 2026) разработчики внедрили улучшенный алгоритм выбора пути. Теперь система минимизирует не только «стоимость» линка, но и дистанцию до цели в дереве топологии. Это исправляет старую проблему, когда пакеты могли идти длинным путем через «корень», игнорируя более быстрые прямые маршруты.
* **Быстрое восстановление:** Параметр maxbackoff (время ожидания перед повторной попыткой подключения к пиру) теперь можно снижать до **5 секунд** (раньше было минимум 30). Это критично для мобильных узлов и нестабильных mesh-соединений.
* **Ресурсоемкость:** Оптимизировано потребление памяти при расчете путей, что позволяет протоколу стабильнее работать на слабых роутерах и одноплатниках (типа Orange Pi/Raspberry Pi).
### Главный вызов: «Гонка вооружений» за корень
Одной из самых обсуждаемых проблем сообщества в 2026 году стала нестабильность сети из-за появления мощных узлов с очень «сильными» ключами (high addressed root).
* **Проблема:** Когда кто-то генерирует ключ, претендующий на роль корня всей сети, но имеет при этом плохую связность или нестабильный канал, это «раскачивает» всю глобальную топологию.
* **Решение в v0.6:** Разработчики подтвердили, что в следующей версии (v0.6) дизайн **spanning tree** будет радикально изменен, чтобы лишить смысла попытки захватить роль корня и сделать сеть более устойчивой к таким колебаниям.
### Текущее состояние (Status Quo)
1. **Overlay-сеть:** Yggdrasil по-прежнему работает преимущественно как криптографическая сеть поверх интернета (IPv4/IPv6), обеспечивая сквозное шифрование.
2. **Стабильность:** Проект официально в статусе **Alpha**, но фактически признан сообществом достаточно стабильным для повседневного использования (SSH, локальные сервисы, мессенджеры).
3. **Платформы:** Поддерживаются практически все ОС (Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, iOS), а также прошивки OpenWrt и Ubiquiti.
**Короткий итог:** Если вы используете его для работы, стоит обновиться до актуальной ветки 0.5.12, чтобы получить более быстрый хендшейк и исправления маршрутов. В рамках той статьи обсуждался более доступный вариант измерительного прибора. Конкретно этот вариант измерителя будет построен на датчиках типа AHT2X или SHT2X (в интернете полно информации об этих датчиках). Задача прибора-измерителя - измерять показания температуры и влажности и передавать их на сервер для хранения данных по домашнему Wi-Fi.

For those that have been following my #SBC shenanigans for awhile, here is the current status:
1) #Pine64 RockPi Pro is still running strong as a file server
2) Both #MangoPi (quad and pro) have been recycled
3) #RPi zero has been set up to be a CLI sandbox to play around with
4) #OrangePi Zero2w & #MilkV mars both have #Debian installed but are currently collecting dust. I need to find something to do with them.
Unless something really neat comes out WITH robust support, I think my little foray into SBC will come to end; or more likely be way more sporadic. -
After dusting off the #sbc this weekend and tinkering with them, I have some sad news. Both of my #MangoPi (pro and quad) are being put out to the pasture. The MP pro (D1 Allwinner risc) wont post regardless the supported OS I put on it. The quad is no longer supported and I cannot find an image to flash on it; scubbing the internet has not been fortuitous.
As for the rest the jury is out. The #OrangePi Zero 2W and RV are working fine; they are just not exciting anymore. The #MilkVMars seems too limited and lacks support from the maker but is up and running. The #RPi Z2W is chugging along just fine.
Unless I find something exciting and well supported, I think I’m kind of done with SBCs at this time. -
