The controller runs outside the cluster and plugs into Project Syn's existing config pipeline.
The PoC validated end-to-end on a Talos Linux cluster in a private libvirt network. A promising sign that bootable containers are a compelling model for infrastructure appliances, not just app workloads.

Red Hat wrote an email explaining their move to restructure their certification program and how they are sorry because they have interrupted my plans to become a Red Hat Certified Architect.
To become a RHCA before, you had to become a Red Hat Certified Engineer (Ansible + RHEL Admin) first.
From that, you chose five other certifications from a list to learn and pass the exams.
Now there is not one but different RHCAs by topics, such as "Cloud and Containers", "RHEL Linux Admin", "Automation", etc.
I already passed two of the five exams (Specialist in Containers and Openshift Admin).
They want me to decide which new path I'd like to follow or whether to follow the old model until the end of 2026. 🤔

#FediHire #getfedihired #RedHat will be posting an opening for a Sr. Consultant in #Netherlands on June 9th. This person will work on projects for MOD, so a Dutch passport is preferred. #kubernetes #istio #openshift. Ask me and I can submit a referral which improves the likelihood of an interview.

Check this out -- an enterprise IT news story in 2026 that does not -- repeat, does NOT -- involve or even mention AI. How about that?
If you'd told me 10 years ago I'd be writing about hypervisors in 2026, you could've knocked me over with a feather.
But that's exactly what this dispatch from #RHSummit is about -- companies including Cleveland Clinic, Emirates NBD and FedHIVE escaping skyrocketing #VMware bills from #Broadcom and finding refuge with #RedHat and its #OpenShift Virtualization platform. Also features news updates about the product this week, including a new migration utility

One of the most useful Red Hat products I use daily is also one of the least-known: the Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal (RHOKP).
It is basically a self-hosted, locally searchable mirror of docs.redhat.com + the Red Hat Knowledgebase in a single container image.
Perfect for:
- air-gapped environments
- customer networks with painful proxies
- trains, planes, and terrible WiFi
- anyone who wants docs that still work offlineI wrote up how it works, why I think it matters, and how to run it locally with Podman:

Does anyone have any good tutorials on building a simple image with Tekton? I found lots of tutorials, most using Kaniko (see my other too, archived by Google in 2025) or tasks from the Tekton Hub (which seems to no longer be available?)

EDB is heading to Red Hat Summit 2026 in Atlanta this May to show what sovereign, production-grade AI looks like when it's built on infrastructure you actually own.
The EDB and Red Hat collaboration centers on EDB Postgres AI on Red Hat #OpenShift, a unified data layer that handles both structured data and vector embeddings in a single #Postgres instance, eliminating the need for separate vector stores or proprietary pipelines: https://www.enterprisedb.com/blog/edb-red-hat-summit-2026-building-ai-ground-you-own

Red Hat and Tesla engineers tackled a real production problem together.
3x output tokens/sec, 2x faster TTFT on Llama 3.1 70B with KServe + llm-d + vLLM. Fixes pushed upstream to KServe along the way.
This is what open source looks like. 🤝 🚀

Fun weekend playing with Go to build a CLI + Web app dashboard to display commit/RC/Release deployment on our openshift cluster.
Data from Gitlab, Harbor, Openshift, Argocd
Multi namespaces, multi clusters, build RC tag & deploy to many with image build retag.
This is the third iteration of this idea originally developed in bash, then Python and now Go
the CLI is also able to act as a release manager tool, this means it uses Gitlab API to create SemVer RC tags that our tekton pipelines process differently on each environment:
- commit based build, test, deploy
- RC tag based that build, test, deploy in acceptance
- retag RC image to staging
- retag RC image to production

Two things I noticed:
The microshift-olm package provices the Operator Lifecycle Manager, but apparently only a very limited subset. I could not get it working at all.
https://github.com/openshift/microshift/discussions/6461There are packages for ArgoCD, called microshift-gitops. Those install a part of ArgoCD. You get the repo-server, redis and the application-controller. But no WebUI. I have not found out yet, if I can still use the argocd CLI to connect to the cluster and e.g. sync an application, as it normally (AFAIK) relies on the web component being exposed via ingress, loadbalancer or port-forward. I'll report back if I get it working. Other than the missing WebUI, it does what ArgoCD is supposed to do: sync stuff into the cluster. Nice.

Dear Openshift and Kubernetes users,
after my single-node OpenShift cluster broke for the third time (pods not coming up, no idea what went wrong this time), I reinstalled the machine and tried MicroShift.
I overlooked the tiny detail in the documentation that there are subscription repos for RHEL10, but only packages for RHEL9. So I had to reinstall my machine after trying RHEL10 first.
In general microshift seems to be an easy way to get a OpenShift-like "cluster" running on a single machine. I'll report back once I did some more thorough testing.
