    100% packet loss, таймаут и прочие гадости. Но при этом

    Может из-за того, что api лежит у провайдера "Хецнер"?

    Либо какой-то локальный глюк... Ибо это Ооооочень странно.

    I took a VM, installed FreeBSD, and set up the first jail to support Italy. The goal was to create a tool for my own use, support a few countries, and announce it.

    Unexpectedly, the enthusiasm was incredible. That pushed me to keep going, support more countries and cities, and turn it into what it is today.

    FediMeteo now supports 38 countries and 2,937 cities, with more than 7,700 followers in the Fediverse alone, not counting the many people who follow via RSS feeds or visit the web pages.

    Today is also Tuesday, a #ThankYouTuesday, so I want to say thanks to:

    Habe heute Morgen die API Calls noch Meteo verbessert. Nun kann auch wieder die Windstrom abgerufen werden. Mehr als Europa geht aber nicht. Ich bin eh schon am Limit, was den freien Zugang betrifft.

    Für 30 € im Monat würde API bekommen mit wesentlich Höheren Limits aber das war eigentlich nicht mein Ziel.

  42. Viele hier sind ja für die #Grünen politisch aktiv, oder für sonstige Organisation, die sich für die Bekämpfung der #Erderwärmung einsetzen (wie #FridaysForFuture ).

    Ich hatte nun eine Idee, wie man den Wahlkampf vor Ort etwas anschaulicher machen könnte. Der "globale Klimawandel" ist relativ abstrakt, aber wenn man veranschaulicht wie sich das auf die Heimatstadt auswirkt, kann man vielleicht eher die Leute interessieren.

    Und der Datensatz von #OpenMeteo hat sehr umfangreiche Wetterdaten, die bis 1940 zurückreichen. Ich plane für den Wahlkampf in #Oldenburg aus diesem Datensatz folgende Informationen aufzubereiten:

    - Entwicklung der Durchschnittstemperaturen
    - Anzahl Tropennächte pro Jahr
    - Anzahl Starkregenereignisse pro Jahr
    - Anzahl Windstürme pro Jahr
    - Entwicklung Bodenfeuchtigkeit

    Hat jemand sonst noch für Ideen, was für Daten für die Bürger vor Ort von Interesse sein könnte?

    Und wäre dieser Ansatz vielleicht auch für andere Wahlkämpfer in anderen Gegenden interessant?

  44. Out of curiosity, I used the historic #weather data from #OpenMeteo to show the historic temperatures for the summers (i.e. the months of June-August) in #Oldenburg , the town I live in.

    It shows quite well how temperatures are gradually increasing, although there is obviously a lot of fluctuation. #climate #ClimateChange
