🌦️ XyGrib / OpenGribs — GRIB downloads are still down
An official XyGrib collaborator has now confirmed that the cloud server responsible for creating and serving the GRIB datasets is down.
> “The large cloud server that creates and serves the Grib datasets is down.”
This affects GFS, WW3 and other model downloads through XyGrib.
📌 Official issue & update:
https://github.com/opengribs/XyGrib/issues/326Hopefully the service will be restored soon.

XyGrib / OpenGribs -what’s happening with GRIB downloads?
Since Sept. 2, GRIB downloads from OpenGribs appear to be failing.
I'm using XyGrib 1.2.6 on antiX 26 (Linux). The request reaches the server, but I get “Error: Request failed” after “Preparing file on server…”.
Is this temporary? What solutions are being considered? Restore the server, new infrastructure, or direct downloads from NOAA/DWD?
