Cada año, a finales de enero y principios de febrero, miles de personas de Europa y de todo el mundo se reúnen en Bruselas para debatir sobre código abierto y tecnologías abiertas.

La principal atracción es FOSDEM, la mayor conferencia de código abierto de Europa, que ha inspirado una variedad de eventos paralelos, actividades sociales y talleres. Para quienes estén interesados en la tecnología abierta, la política digital y los desarrollos de la UE, la Cumbre de Políticas de Código Abierto de OpenForum Europe reúne a líderes y responsables políticos de código abierto. Juntos, estos eventos conforman la Semana del Código Abierto de la UE.
