Riptide - Get Washed Away in the Flavor!Another Riptide commission, this one for https://www.furaffinity.net/user/raspberryjam/! This one was posted to Twitter a number of months ago and is just one of many pieces that has been waiting in the backlog to be posted elsewhere, but better late than never! This was a really fun piece to work on, and while the growth isn't anywhere near as extreme as some of the other Riptide pieces I did, I'm still incredibly happy with the results! Razzy was an incredibly fun character to draw, and I love how long her hair is!
On a related note, I'm going to be putting out a comprehensive list of all the flavors of Riptide and what they do in the near future, in preparation for the next opening of Riptide themed commissions. Summer is just around the corner after all, so keep an eye out for that if you're interested!

What do you call a macro sized cyborg shark?
A mecha-lodon!Commission for https://www.furaffinity.net/user/Violetneon56, featuring their enormous cyborg shark Salem! Granted I don't think she was this big before, but the size definitely suits her! The original idea was for her to loom over a regular sized city, but given that those mountains are meant to be as high as Mount Everest, at her size and the rough altitude the picture was taken from, any regular sized city would simply be gray splotches, and I wasn't really happy with my attempts to sell that looming size with the lack of detail within the cities. So the idea then shifted to having it be a remote village of giants, and while it's not easy to see at this resolution, there are smaller macro cities located in and around the lake and it's island along with the more obviously macro sized buildings.
Overall I'm really happy with how this came out! Salem was really fun to work on, her various cyborg parts quite a departure from my usual stuff, but still a blast to be able to do something a little different! Salem is also a bit of a goofball, as there's three versions of her dialogue where she's cracking various jokes or making meme-y references! And I really like how that adorable chibi face came out! XD

Lyra usually winds up needing to go through an entire gym just to get a good warm-up with how strong she is, but after three or four, she often gets a good pump on! I doubt that top will last another gym, but that might be all the motivation you'd need to follower her to her next workout. Just be sure not to make any jokes about her "pythons", lest you end up like those barbells!

This was being worked on around the time where my hang-ups with inking were at its worst, so it wound up taking a lot longer than I would have liked to finish, but despite that, I'm still extremely happy with the end results! I'd argue that this is probably the best back pose I've done thus far, and the particular proportions for all of the musculature work really well for the composition.
