Such an unusual & powerful film, and one of the saddest uses of Waltzing Matilda I've ever heard.

The TV adaptation of #OnTheBeach really surprised me. Extremely bleak and uncompromising. Tense scenes exploring the dead world in radiation suits and through the periscope. But also, they managed to make the human level, those last days of connection, love relatable without relying on kitsch. Strong performance from #RachelWard. #ArmandAssante is weirdly stoic. Why do several people associate final enjoyment with driving cars and helicopters?
