Please take the time to send a message to the candidates expressing the role this will play in where you place your vote!
And please go out and vote, because a turn out like last time is exactly what emboldens spoiled rich kids like Ford to give our tax dollars to their rich friends' private hospitals, and to the construction of fancy spas nobody asked for.

Just checked my voter registration info at elections.on.ca -- I'm there, so I can vote in this pointless election Feb. 27.
Some questions for your candidates: What's happening with #Metrolinx? How did a half million dollar roof repair cause the #OntarioScienceCentre to be closed down? Who thought spending a billion dollars putting a spa at #OntarioPlace was a good idea?
Fiscal responsibility? Ridiculous.

An independent review* of the report found that the report did not recommend closure, and that the building's key exhibition areas could continue operating safely. The government seeks to move the science centre to Ontario place to build condos in its place.

“In short, they are expecting that 50% more people will visit a facility that is 45% of the size of the current Science Centre, with a significantly reduced staff managing it all.”
It will cost taxpayer $300-$400 million more.
And can you imagine 30 school busses with hundreds of #kids navigating heavy downtown traffic every single day?(My personal thoughts: Yes, the current building needs extensive repair. Perhaps a solution would be to rebuild part of the building, but integrate important architectural features from the original? Put all the parking underground, and that leaves space to build both a community centre and housing on the rest of the property).
