I wrote a little blog post about making reusable Zoom links with "No Fixed Time".

This option can be quite useful if you have meetings which _don't_ fall into a predictable time pattern, but _are_ with the same trusted people. And at first I didn't realise the option was available, so I thought other people might not know either.

Was genau ist eigentlich eine „Instanz“ im Fediverse – und warum ist sie das Herzstück von Plattformen wie Mastodon, Friendica, Hubzilla oder Sharkey?

In dieser Sprechstunde werfen wir einen verständlichen und praxisnahen Blick auf die Funktionsweise von Instanzen – unabhängig von der jeweiligen Anwendung. Du erfährst, welche Rolle sie im dezentralen Netzwerk spielen, wie sie miteinander kommunizieren und welche Unterschiede es zwischen öffentlichen, privaten und themenspezifischen Instanzen gibt.

Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Betrieb einer eigenen Instanz:

• Welche technischen und organisatorischen Voraussetzungen braucht es?

OK, after a crappy customer service experience and some concerns over privacy I'm on the hunt for a Zoom replacement.

Best would be something that emulates their 'Webinar' mode, i.e. allowing hosts and presenters to share video/sounds/screens, etc, while the audience engages via a text chat mechanism.

In #Norwegen ist es etwa üblich, #Meetings + #Fortbildungen so zu terminieren, dass auch #Teilzeitkräfte daran teilnehmen können - inkl. An- und Abreise. #OnlineMeetings + #OnlineFortbildungen sind grundsätzlich leichter in #Familienalltag zu integrieren.

Das setzt #Bewusstsein + #Bereitschaft voraus. Deshalb ist es gut, wenn durch den #Weltfrauentag dafür Aufmerksamkeit geschaffen wird.

Es profitieren am Ende alle: #Diversität macht #Teams + #Organisationen stärker!

Und es wird schlimmer, denn jetzt kommt noch die Zeit hinzu, die Teams, Slack und Online Meetings auffrisst. Haben uns ja im Mai mal wieder bei #9vor9 drüber unterhalten ...
