  1. A little chat…

...can mean so incredibly much.. 💜 I've been divorced/single for over 7 years now. But, since Arwen's unfortunate passing, I am very much alone now. 😢 And while Arwen could never have a chat with me, she had her walks with me, she kept me busy with cuddles and games, and she filled our home with love. But now... It's just me... And it's gotten harder for me, at times, to get through the time properly... (if that makes any sense 🤔). I can do less at the gym, which I struggle with as it feels like I am not "doing my best" well enough. I tried the nightly walks on my own, but with the weather getting worse, and being on my own... 2. When socializing became so overwhelming, I felt safer connecting to like-minded people over the internet. I grew up in a time when social media was new and every adult assumed you must be talking to a predator and not a child. This was my only option though and, thankfully, everything worked out.

  3. Making #friends is #superhard for me. Just meeting someone #inperson takes way too much #preparation for me. And making #onlinefriends isn’t much easier as I somehow find it way #harder to #message people now and all of the sudden people don’t want me at #virtual #Zoom meetings cause I don’t use a #camera.

  4. In 2020 I wrote a blog post about my great-grandfather's first family before he married my great-grandmother. No one in my family knew about this, or the fact that he and his first-wife lost their first child in infancy. Last week a member of his first wife's family, after reading my post, shared with me an image of that child. This is George Elmer Bentz (1912-1912) and his grandmother.
