    • Galaxy Watch5 44mm (BT and Cellular, SM-R910/R915x): CYCD
    • Galaxy Watch5 Pro 45mm (BT and Cellular, SM-R920/R925x): CYCD

You can now update your smartwatch, but if you still didn’t receive any update, you’ll have to wait for a few days as this rollout is a gradual rollout that starts from Korea. You can periodically check for updates to see if this update has reached your device. We recommend that you update your watch manager in your phone to ensure compatibility with the latest software.

To update your watch, follow these steps:

    • With your phone
      1. Open Galaxy Wearable
      2. Select your watch
      3. Open Watch settings
      4. Navigate to Software Update
      5. Tap Download and Install
      6. Wait until the update shows up, then press Download
      7. Wait until the update gets downloaded and copied to your watch, then press Install
    • With your watch
      1. Open Settings
      2. Navigate to Software update
      3. Tap Download and Install
      4. Wait until the update shows up, then press Download
      5. Wait until it gets downloaded to your watch, then press Install

In an event that something went wrong with copying the update, disconnect your phone from your watch by turning Bluetooth off or by disconnecting it through Galaxy Wearable, then try again from your watch. Make sure to turn Wi-Fi on in your watch to download the update faster.

Make sure that both your phone and your watch are charged before performing the update, and that your internet connection is stable. Never interrupt the update process, or there could be problems later. The update process may take a few minutes to finish, and if it appears to be stuck, just wait for more minutes.

  25. Some Galaxy Watch4 LTE units get One UI 6 Watch

Three months ago, Samsung have released the One UI 6 Watch for all the eligible smartwatches that include Galaxy Watch6, Watch5, and Watch4 in both the Bluetooth and the LTE variants. The rollout was very fast if you take a look at the surface level, with the rollout starting from the Galaxy Watch6 series.

After a long wait for users that didn’t get the One UI 6 Watch system for their Galaxy Watch4 LTE, we have finally spotted Samsung releasing this version of One UI for more Galaxy Watch4 LTE units in more countries, such as India.

To update your watch, open Galaxy Wearable on your phone and navigate to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and Install. If you saw the One UI 6 update, you can now download it to your watch. However, if you still can’t get this update, wait for the update in the coming days or weeks, depending on your smartwatch and your country.

  27. Some Galaxy Watch4 LTE units still haven’t received One UI 6 Watch

Going deeper, we’ve noticed that the Galaxy Watch4 LTE users in different regions, most notably the Indian regions, still haven’t received the One UI 6 Watch update as of today.

In Australia, One UI 6 Watch for LTE variants for the Galaxy Watch4 smartwatch has been released back on January 14th, 2025, while the Bluetooth variant got it a month earlier on December 10th, 2024. All LTE smartwatches are supposed to receive the IXK1 update by now, but several regions, such as India, have not received the update yet and are still stuck on the HXB7 update that runs One UI 5 Watch which added a feature that allows you to see your workout status on Samsung televisions released on 2024.

In the coming weeks, we hope that the update will be released for such variants to finalize the rollout of One UI 6 Watch for the Galaxy Watch4 series released back on 2021. This is unusual, since it reminded us of some flagship devices that didn’t receive the One UI 6.0 update, such as the Galaxy Tab S8 and S9, until last February.

  29. Samsung updates the Galaxy Watch6 series after One UI 6 Watch update

After the One UI 6 Watch update, Samsung has released another update for all the Galaxy Watch6 series devices that improves system stability. The following information is available (the cellular versions also got the update, but not listed here):

    • SM-R930: R930XXU1BXL2
    • SM-R940: R940XXU1BXL2
    • SM-R950: R950XXU1BXL2
    • SM-R960: R960XXU1BXL2

This update doesn’t upgrade your Wear OS 5 security patch, therefore it stays on the October 1st patch of the last year, the same patch used when releasing the One UI 6 Watch software.

To install this software update, you can either do it from the watch directly (as long as remote Wi-Fi connection is disabled and the watch not paired to your phone) or through your phone:

    • Updating from your watch
      1. Turn on your Wi-Fi if you haven’t already.
      2. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
      3. You’ll be notified about the update. Press Download if it didn’t begin downloading automatically.
      4. Let the download finish, then press Install Now.
    • Updating from your phone
      1. Make sure that you have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on in both your watch and your phone, connected to each other.
      2. On your phone, open Wearable.
      3. Select your watch (in case you have multiple devices connected).
      4. Go to Watch settings > Software update > Download and install.
      5. You’ll be notified about the update. Press Download if it didn’t begin downloading automatically.
      6. Let the download and the copying finish, then press Install Now.

Make sure that you either have full charge on your watch or have put your watch to the charger before starting the update. You can let the update install automatically overnight when your watch is on the charger at least 30%. Don’t interrupt the update process in any way during the installation phase. It’s normal for the watch to appear “stuck” at the Samsung logo for approximately 5 minutes during the install process. Interruption of the update may cause the watch to malfunction.

  34. Galaxy Watch6 Manager gets an update

UPDATE: The Watch6 manager update continues its rollout to more countries and regions! Find more here!

As Samsung is getting ready to release the One UI 6 Watch update, the Galaxy Watch6 Manager also gets an update. Apparently, the Reddit users have reported that they’ve received the Galaxy Watch6 Manager update for the Galaxy Watch6 smartwatch, which is expected to get the new system update on November 25th, 2024, which is ten days from now.

However, the Watch5 Manager hasn’t been updated yet, which aligns with how both the Watch5 and the Watch4 got the One UI 6 Watch Beta 8 update that was released yesterday, while Samsung also reiterated in the USA forums about how the Beta for the Watch6 has been concluded.

Going back as far as September 25th, Samsung has released a new version of the Galaxy Watch4 Manager that provided the One UI 6 Watch watchfaces to all the Galaxy Watch4 units that weren’t running the beta version of One UI 6 Watch. However, we’d like to reiterate that Sammy Fans and others might have misled users into thinking that the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch6 users could download the One UI 6 Watch watchfaces.

This version of the Galaxy Watch6 Manager, which is 2.2.13.24101651, provides a new GUI and three One UI 6 Watch watchfaces that consist of the following:

    • Spatial Number: numbers constructed from 3D shapes give a sense of depth over a background that changes color as the second hand moves.

    • Ultra Info Band: This watch face puts your health data front and center, with more advanced complications than ever before. You can include up to 7 complications for the ultimate in info at a glance.

This version of the watch manager is built on October 16th, 2024, which is two days before the eighth beta of the new operating system for the Watch6, which should be unveiled 10 days from now.

However, the new version can’t be currently downloaded from Google Play Store, because this version is currently rolling out to several countries soon. Those who have downloaded the Galaxy Watch6 plugin from Galaxy Store should expect a new update.
