If even one major supporter (say, Germany or the US) began restricting military support, then Israel would begin to deflate. I doubt that it will be that way. Once a supporter realises that their resources would be better allocated elsewhere, there will be a rush. Israel will implode.I hope it's better organised than that, but fear the worst.

Just watched @bbcnews interviewing #Trump on #AirForceOne (not the one that #Qatar has bought for him, but the old one that clearly needs to be replaced by an #Emirate lead by an autocratic #monarch of the sort Trump favours). After roughly ten seconds of demonstrating he neither knows nor cares about the difference between a #OneStateSolution and a #TwoStateSolution he decides he doesn’t like this line of questioning and goes on the attack: “What? Do you want more people to die?”

It looks like my dream of a two state solution in the Levant may be at an end. :(
If this annexation gives full rights to the people of the West Bank, just like the Arabs who are Israeli citizens in Israel, I could be okay with it[1], but based on the politicians involved, I'm fearful this isn't going to be the case. Thus, I'm against it.

[1] I don't like the idea of annexation, I think it's morally wrong, but if it really gave the Palestinians full rights as Arab Israelis have, it would be good for women and Queer West Bank Palestinian, who currently have to live in the closet.

History suggests that there's no hope of lasting peace in Palestine while a Zionist state exists there. The best hope is a single, secular state in which all have equal rights.That's inimical to Israeli society. The vast majority of Israelis apparently view themselves as the master race and all others as lesser beings. The attitudes of Avraham Stern linger.
Zionism has a long history. It began at the turn of the 17th century as a Puritan Christian backlash against the Reformation. At the time, it was a form of antisemitism - a way to ride Europe (or more specifically England) of its Jews.
Zionism takes many forms. The form that dominates Israel is bloodthirsty, racist and genocidal.

Our opinions on the partition evidently differ @kashifshah . East Pakistan seems to have not worked out well.
Hypothetical and realistic are not synonymous. None of the borders proposed for two states in Palestine has ever been workable. The area is too small and the proposed states too fragmented. A fragmented Pakistan didn't work and the area involved was much larger.
Israel was imposed by invasion, violence and decree, relatively recently. There are living Palestinians, still holding keys to the houses taken from their grandparents to create Israel. History shows that there will be no lasting peace while the Zionist state exists.

As a case study, India-Pakistan does not support a two-state solution @kashifshah . For centuries before the 19th century Zionists invasion, all creeds shared Palestine. If you want a "historical examination" for a one-state solution, then pre-invasion Palestine might be it.
The Zionists wanted to be the Master Race of those lands. Avraham Stern actually referred to Arabs as a slave race (with Jews as the master race). That's the problem. The behaviour of Israeli society indicates that a majority still hold similar attitudes.
Realistically, the best that we can hope for is to set up conditions so that whatever part of both populations can peacefully share the lands have an opportunity to work it out among themselves.

The world in general, and Jews in particular, will be safer when the Zionist state no longer exists.As Miko Peled observed, Israel and Palestine are the same place. He believes that Jews and Arabs can live together peacefully. That may be true, but by all appearances, it's true of probably less than 20% of the population. The remaining 80% would need to be homed elsewhere.
Palestine is sacred to more than Judaism and Islam. Ideally, I'd like to see it established as World Heritage. Protected by the world at large and thus needing no armed forces. I can dream, can't I?
What of the other 80%? Netanyahu advocates a state in Sinai for Palestinians, so let's make that two states. I think of them as sanatoria. Unarmed and heavily guarded, to protect them from each other and the world from them.
Plus a couple of very large prisons.

If you're not saying that two states have proven to be no solution, then you're not saying anything.Two states being no solution and Miko Peled's one state being no solution for the majority of the population, we need something else. For centuries, Arabs, Christians and Jews shared Palestine. Then the Zionists started arriving. A decent solution will return to the situation before the advent of Zionism in Palestine.
The form of Jewish Zionism that spawned Israel has had more than a century to create the current predicament. Fixing it will take a while.

As you said, two states has proven to be no solution. Those who can live peacefully together should be encouraged to do so - in Palestine. Those who won't live peacefully together are a problem for the world (hence the two sanatorium states - some of the recalcitrant might be cured). Then' of course, there are the criminals.

#ALandForAll, is an Israeli organization that calls for a #2StateSolution but with freedom of movement for Palestinians and Israelis.
Just noticed that landing page of their website has a photo of two adjacent fields, one wheat and the other of flowers (presumably mustard?).
I wonder if it's a direct reference to the old #socialist slogan of Bread&Roses. If so, I do appreciate that, despite the fact that I disagree with their vision. I support the #OneStateSolution.
