Aber: Problematisch ist dann auch das gegeneinander Ausspielen von privaten Bemühungen und Politik/Wirtschafts-Verantwortung. Es bringt schlussendlich nicht viel, wenn Du deinen Fussabdruck unter 1 bringst, aber der grosse Rest der Menschheit in den Metropolen inkl. der Politik/Wirtschaft kümmert's einen Schei*.
Also tu dir nicht unnötigen Zwang an, solange nicht verbindliche Vorschriften oder angepasste Strukturen existieren, die für alle den Fussabdruck vermindern. Sonst bist du am Schluss nur frustriert. Das heisst aber auch nicht, dass du allen Schei* mitmachen musst, nur weil es viele andere auch tun. Sondern sei Vorbild, so weit dir das möglich ist. Du musst deine eigene Balance finden.
Und nicht vergessen: Sich weiterhin mit aller Kraft dafür einsetzen, dass die globalen Strukturen in der gewünschten Richtung sich ändern. Aber das machst du ja glaub schon.

If all the people on this planet wanted a fair and balanced society where the 1% doesn't rape them and eat them, I think it would have been possible in the last couple of hundred thousand years.
But we stand divided. We let shitty things come between, including borders. There's only one planet, so why can't we have just one country where everyone is treated with respect and allowed to live their lives according to their local laws and culture? Why?
