Trying to do something not routine? Roll a d6, on a 4+ you succeed. If you're good at a thing, you succeed on a 3+. If you're bad at a thing you succeed on a 5+. In a conflict, all actors keep rolling until one succeeds and the others fails.

You can only be good at two more things than you are bad at. You can add either options to your character at any time. Survive Danger 4+ is the starting stat.

For a #ttrpg that is easy to use, I pick #LasersAndFeelings. It’s a simple #OnePageRPG with everything you need right there, character creation, ship creation, simple die mechanic, and adventure generator. It does assume you’re familiar with the tropes of campy scifi like #StarTrek, but if that’s not you, there are a gazillion reskins of the game you could try instead. Yesterday I ran Lasers and Feelings for the first time as part of a bid to try to play as many new games as possible in the next year. I wasn't expecting much, but I honestly enjoyed playing much more than I thought I would. There are obvious limitations on what you can do with the system, but with a good group of players who know how to share the spotlight without rules directing them to, it's a simple way to have about an hour or two of fun.

New RPG day! Just unboxed Miru, a god-hunting solo game, and Tiny Library, a deck of micro-RPGs.

Miru will be my first foray into solo journaling RPGs. I also have The Magus, which I got via some bundle, but I feel like trying out Miru first.

Finally played #HoneyHeist by @gshowitt for the first time. A completely ridiculous game of bears pretending to be human to steal honey in a criminal way. So much fun and so simple, a sliding scale from criminal to bear with d6s determining success or failure, throw in some flashbacks to tweak the scale.
