This line struck me as it was so out of place in the context & with her demeanour: “It’s your job to scrutinise my Party, its people and its policies.” Quickly followed by threats to defund SBS & ABC. Didn’t feel like welcoming scrutiny to me. Felt like the Trumpian revenge play of punishing supposed enemies. 🫤 A sort of ‘put your head up to scrutinise my Party (=me) & we’ll cut it off for free’ promise.
