There's something new at Firestorm! 🚲🚲🚲

This custom bike rack has been in the works for a while, but it's arriving at the perfect time because our street is getting bike lanes! The Haywood Road resurfacing project is currently underway and includes major upgrades for cyclists and pedestrians.

With space for six bikes, this awesome rack was designed by local artist David Earl Tomlinson / Dynamic Metalwork whose prior creations for our co-op can be seen inside and outside the bookshop.

Biking isn't just good for you and your environment, it's also a form of transportation that reduces neighborhood congestion, respects your privacy, and still works when a hurricane shuts down every gas station in the region for two weeks (ask us how we know).

Custom-Gravel-Cargo-Commuter - @omnium Cargo!
Unser erstes Omnium ist ein „Cargo“ Frameset, dass wir mit Carbon Laufradsatz mit SON "28" Nabendynamo und HOPE "Pro 5" Nabe verbauen.
Passend dazu kommt ein ganzes Hope Set, bestehend aus Bremsen, Vorbau, Steuersatz und Sattelklemme in silber zum Einsatz, ebenso wie Carbon-Sattelstütze und der breite MTB Lenker für viel Kontrolle im Cargo-Bereich. Auch bei der Kurbel setzen wir auf ein Schmankerl und verbauen die Gravelkurbel von Garbaruk Bike Components. Ein komplettes SON Lichtset und Alu-Schützbleche machen das Rad alltagstauglich. Angetrieben wird das Rad durch eine SRAM MTB "GX" Schaltung mit großer 10-52 Kassette. Unsere FreundInnen bei Schwalbe sorgen mit einem neuen Spezial-Modell des "G-One Allround" in 20“ dafür, dass wir den schönen Tanwall-Reifen sowohl in 28“ am Hinterrad als auch in der Front einsetzen können.
Und die Omnium Zubehör-Teile, wie die Faltbox und der Extenderbar sorgen für maximale Flexibilität beim Lastentransport. 
Trotz Überlänge bleibt das Rad ein spaßiges und wendiges Rad für viele Wege.
