He spoke about the "extraordinary level of corruption" that has made its way into the bill & throughout DC.
"It's extraordinary to me... we have folks in this town talking about draining the swamp. Guess what? You are the swamp," Jeffries said, "We've never seen anything like this. The type of #corruption that has been unleashed on the American people." -
The #IMF said the #legislation runs counter to its advice that the #US should be working to shrink its fiscal #deficits over the medium term.
“From the IMF side, we have been consistent in saying that the US will need to reduce its fiscal deficit over time to put public #debt to #GDP on a decisive downward path,” Julie Kozack said.
Kozack noted that there’s broad agreement that the #Republican bill would likely increase the US fiscal deficit.

But overall, the #Senate bill will make it too challenging to move forward with many new #wind & #solar energy projects, likely depriving the #US of added #electricity capacity at a time of soaring #energy demand, critics said.
That could mean higher #consumer bills & lost #jobs around the country at project sites dependent on the credits.
