Never saw the movie.
Never read #Ondaatje before.
Fell into it for 3 days. No escape.
Unusual for me as so few characters is too much like social claustrophobia for me in a book.
In 4 days I’ll be 69, I’m celebrating getting this far by posting one good thing per day until Tuesday. Here I am at #RSL #Ondaatje Prize dinner, winning for 7th collection #MamaAmazonica, the 1st poet ever to win & only the 2nd woman! They’ve just announced it & I can’t believe it #ecopoetry @bloodaxebooks
