Omni Loop is a strange film. On the one hand, it’s your standard repeat a specific time period over and over (a week in this case), but it’s also a human story about coming to terms with death and accepting a life lived and your time left.

It also ruminates on how lonely it would be to repeat the same week many thousands of times without ever being able to change the outcome.

I liked it a lot. And it’s worth two hours of your time. 8/10.

Omni Loop is a time loop movie with the word ‘loop’ right in the title. They’re really not even trying anymore, are they? But then the late, great Harold Ramis was arguably the only one who truly put some thought into it. All that his countless imitators have done is beat the horse to death and then just keep beating it.
