Horrifying images of the wild fires in Croatia 🇭🇷

Villages near the ancient Adriatic city of Split were struck by the blaze, which coursed through the pine forest hillsides, causing extensive damage. Dozens injured and thousands had to be evacuated.

Apprendo con enorme dispiacere che la bellissima cittadina di Almissa (Omis) in Croazia, è stata devastata da un grande incendio che si è propagato dai dintorni verso la città nella giornata di ieri.

I feriti al momento sembrerebbero essere 19. Molti ettari di paesaggio perso. ☹️☹️☹️🤬😭

I went swimming in a gorge at dusk, surrounded by fish, dragonflies and a horse drinking at the water’s edge. The water was clear, so that you could see everything when you went under, but the undertow was so powerful and fast that you felt it tugging at the outer edge of you even in the shallows, like the first time you touch a car’s accelerator.
