I'm actually stunned that it's the year 2025, and #OmekaS is still such a mess in its user experience and software architecture, and there is no meaningful alternative for it.
All I want is an #RDF triplestore with a user interface that allows basic input types, simple rest API for front end apps to consume, some basic access controls, plugin extensibility, and basic vocabularies preinstalled (dc, foaf, schema.org).
Wallahi it's not that difficult to implement.

We are currently working on a project I am having a lot of fun with: Mapping the TEI header to a resource template in Omeka S so that we can ingest and display TEI files, and, eventually, hopefully, use Omeka S to create TEI files for a project. It's greatly simplified for our initial project, but it's going better than I expected. We did have to create a "tei header ontology" to get some of the fields just right. #TEI #omekas

Derudas' PhD project developed, tested, rejected and redeveloped solutions for making 3D documentation of excavations more useful to archaeologists. Her final product, AIR (Archaeological Interactive Report), is built on #OpenSource #OmekaS code, #CIDOCCRM, and integrates #LinkedData.
More work is necessary, but great example of #FAIRdata implementation
