Went to the park today so that I could walk while listening to / participating in the #KOWABUNGAnet on the #DODROPINcinference via #Echolink. I ran into a buddy there (another local ham) who just happened to be out for a walk, and we saw one of Olney’s white squirrels posing for a promotional Olney photo. #OlneyWhiteSquirrel #WhiteSquirrel #WhiteSquirrelsOfOlneyIllinois

One of Olney, Illinois’ white squirrels spotted while Finn-Ray and I were out for a walk around Olney City Park this evening. We saw about 5 of them all together in different spots; this one was the most photogenic, meaning that it didn’t immediately run behind a tree. #OlneyWhiteSquirrel #OlneyIllinois #KE0FFT

One of Olney, Illinois’ claims to fame is its population of white squirrels. Olney City Park today. It’s a shame that I didn’t get the focus right on the first pic. I really like the composition of that photo otherwise. First time I’ve had that camera out of its case since 2019! These are two different #squirrels. First one was across the street to the northwest of the stage.
