St Munis CoI, #Forgney Co. Longford, which lies south of #NewcastleWood.Goldsmith is believed to have been born in the townland of #Pallas, just north of Newcastle Wood (best know as the home of #CenterParcsLongford).

#OliverGoldsmith was born (probably in #Pallas, near where Centerparc Longford is now) probably on 10 Nov 1728. An alumnus of #TCD, he lived by his writing: novelist, playwright, poet, reviewer, essayist.
