Roland Orzabal hat anschließend ein Soloalbum mit ihr produziert, dem weitere, dann allerdings ohne Orzabal, folgten.     "Get Here" is a #ballad written by American singer and songwriter #BrendaRussell. The title track of her fourth studio album, #GetHere (1988), it became a moderate hit on the US #Billboard R&B chart after the album's successful first hit, "#PianoInTheDark". American vocalist #OletaAdams covered and released the song in 1990, reaching the top five in both the US and the UK with her version. Adams's version of "Get Here".

    "Breath of heaven" - Oleta Adams - from 2006's "Christmas Time with Oleta Adams"

    Soul voice of the early 90s Oleta Adams came back after five years off with a gospel album. Lots of choirs, lots of arrangements familiar to Black congregations - "Allelua allelua" a standout, "Silent night" shows Oleta's vocal power.

    Here's the other hit by Chris Eaton, "Breath of heaven", here sung with maximum drama.

    „The Seeds of Love" ist ein tolles Album, nicht zuletzt auch wegen Oleta Adams. „Woman In Chains" wiederum ein großartiger Titel darauf (übrigens mit Phil Collins am Schlagzeug).

    #BrendaRussell released a hit-packed album in 1988. "Get Here"'s title track was made famous by #OletaAdams, "Dinner with Gershwin" by #DonnaSummer. "Midnight eyes" remains a lost gem.

    Track 3 became Brenda's signature hit, tells the story of a couple who only stay together because he plays piano in the dark.
