The answer the outstanding #NameThatCar challenge was this attractive Jaguar XJS Convertible from sunny California. Thanks to @Holberg for the picture.
Following the E-Type was always going to be tough and XJ-S didn't get the warmest of welcome. However it stuck around and was well liked if out dated by the time it was eventually retired.

So the answer to the outstanding #NameThatCar challenge was, as many figured out a product of the Rootes Group . A firm who were early and enthusiastic adopters of Badge-engineering!
In this particular case the badge was Singer, there mid-range offering.
The car is question a Singer Gazelle in period grey wirh a fetching stripe!

The only question was whuch model.
Helpfully the owner had provided an informative label.

So the answer to the outstanding #NameThatCar challenge was relatively tricky with the crop of the image misleading some folks.
However those who did their detective work would have realised it was a Jaguar MKII as favoured by Inspector Morse on the telly.

The answer to yesterdays King of Estate cars #NameThatCar challenge was of course a a Volvo.

In this instance a very presentable #Volvo 240 SE Estate which to be in regular use. As the last one rolled off the production line in 1993, this one is at least 30 years old so good to see it being used.
Well done if you got it, I did accept Antique Dealers Volvo as this is a legitimate answer.

The answer to yesterdays #NameThatCar challenge was fairly straightforward, it was a Honda Civic.
If course not just any old Civic but the performance version the Honda Civic Type R, complete with understated rear spoiler.
The earlier generations are already sought after so it seems likely to be a future classic.

As many of you deduced it was the small, practical reliable and perfectly formed Honda Jazz, also know as a Honda Fit in some markets. It is a great little car and I can see it becoming something of a classic.

The answer to yesterdays #NameThatCar challenge, as a good number of you correctly identified is a #triumph TR5 or TR250 as the US version known. It had a different engine set-up for emissions compliance.
Given that the TR5 and TR4 are very similar in terms of exterior bodywork that was also an acceptable answer.

As several of you smart #WeirdCarMastodon folks worked out it is a slightly unusual Fiat 600 Multipla with an odd rear light cluster. This maybe linked to the fact that the car in the photo is in California!

A Triumph TR6, which some purists regard as the last "proper" TR. Being a TR7 fan I am disinclined to agree with that point of view.
It is a fine looking car, especially with the roof down.

In my endeavour to make #TriumphTuesday a thing here is an attractive green Triumph TR7 Convertible I snapped in a local car park. A controversial design, coupled with sadly typical poor build quality ensured the TR7 had a difficult start.
