    I just finished watching Star Blazers 2199. I remember catching some of the original series years ago but I didn't really have the same sort of nostalgic connection to it that I have to Macross/Robotech. That said, I really enjoyed it. It kept most of the story and feel of the original while doing away with the low budget production. If you're into anime or space operas in general, check it out!
